We just had an office trip to Tokyo, It was a one week trip for 10 of us. Besides seeing great architectures I am sneaking out checking on local crafts. As we have known that Japanese have high skill of crafts and still be part of their lives side by side with their high technology.
I had a great list of places for both craft and architecture to visit from my dear friend and it had been proofed and should pass on. Thanks to my dear friend Singh!
First on the list and not so far from our Hotel
Nezu Museum: 6-5-1 Minamiaoyama,Minato, Tokyo: A private collection of Japanese and Asian Art: Designed by Kengo Kuma
D47 design travel store, Shibuya Hikarie: ” attractive things which journey the d design travel editorial department collection data on 47 metropolis and districts and goes around, native makes. It becomes a place where design information of Japan gathers”
2K540 Aki-Oka Artisan: Arcade under the JR tracks between Akihabara Station and Okachimachi Station:2 km. from Tokyo Station: gather together the skills of traditional craftsman underneath the elevated railway tracks.
I really love this trip and Tokyo is the great place to get inspired.
